Stacia + Curtis | Alburnett, Iowa Romantic Backyard Wedding

Stacia and Curtis were married on July 7th and I am honestly still trying to get over how sweet their wedding day was. I don't think I've ever teared up during a first look until that day (I could blame the pregnancy hormones, but seriously, these two are adorable).  They were married and had their reception in their own backyard and it could not have been more perfect. Stacia, Curtis, and family did a wonderful job putting it all together—they really could turn their backyard into a wedding venue with those decorating and planning skills!

The couple chose to add a second shooter to their photography package, so I was able to bring Brittney from Brittney Hoffman Artistry along for the fun. We both had a great time with the couple and their guests, and Brittney was absolutely fabulous (go check out her page, linked below, if you've never had the chance)! Also be sure to check out the amazing flowers from HeyBouquet, I'm always obsessed with wooden flowers!

I have just really enjoyed working with Stacia and Curtis throughout this entire process (from our first meeting, to their engagement session, to the big day and after), and am hoping that I get the chance to do so again in the future! Huge congratulations to both of them!

Alyssa + Joey | Manchester, Iowa Wedding

Alyssa and Joey's wedding last month was just so wonderful, I had a great day hanging out with this couple and their guests. I LOVED the unique wedding colors and all of the decor. The church they were married in was definitely one of the most beautiful churches I've ever been in (trust me, I've been in A LOT of them, and this one was gorgeous with great lighting)--it made for fantastic images, indoors and out. It was heartwarming to see all of the family who came for the big day and I think this couple wins an award for the most family photos taken EVER (I'm not complaining though, they were a lot of fun and made my job totally easy.)

The day ended with a beautiful, laid-back reception in a pavilion at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. I left just before the sun set and was able to stay at a nearby hotel with my family. We really enjoyed getting to explore the area a little bit and look forward to being able to go back.

Congratulations again to Alyssa and Joey! I hope you are enjoying married life with that adorable little boy of yours!
