Jacki + Scott | Cedar Rapids, Iowa Wedding

I met Jacki and Scott just a couple of months before their wedding day for a last-minute engagement session. I knew right away that they were the PERFECT couple! They made the session easy on my part! Both are so laid back and have been such a pleasure to work with over the last several months.

The couple got married at one of my favorite venues, Ashton Hill Farm, on a very snowy Sunday. Jacki looked absolutely gorgeous and her dress was just what I would have imagined for her. The decor was simple and beautiful, with a lot of little personal touches throughout. The best part of the day was watching as Scott got force-fed rose petals from his boutonnière  throughout the entire ceremony by the couple's son Charlie. They had EVERYONE in the room cracking up and it was just too cute!

Just a few weeks after the wedding, Jacki rescued a few chicks and asked me to take them in. I gladly accepted because I'm a crazy chicken lady (fun fact)! I ended up keeping one after I got the others back to health, and it has been fun to keep her updated on how things are going. It's my favorite chick now, so I definitely have Jacki to thank for that.

Congratulations again to Jacki and Scott on their marriage! I hope it is full of amazing things! Below are some of my favorite images from the wedding, click the arrows to scroll through!

Torrie + Hogan | Muscatine, Iowa Wedding

I am excited to finally be making this post! It has been a busy couple of months--we closed on our new home just a few days before this wedding, and I've been shooting sessions like crazy, so things have been a little hectic around here!

Torrie and Hogan were my first wedding of the year and I was really looking forward to the day. I worked with the couple last year for their engagement session and it was (and still is) one of my favorite engagement sessions ever! I woke up on their wedding day to a huge snowstorm, and It snowed almost all day, but it made for a few beautiful (and quick) images outdoors!

I loved the colors that the couple chose, their wooden flowers, and the unique reception venue. Everything was beautiful and it was a great day, despite the unpredictable Iowa weather. Congratulations Torrie and Hogan, thank you SO much for allowing me to be there!
